Sweat glands produce a watery secretion called sweat that is released on the surface of skin and helps to control the body temperature.
The sweat consists of water, sodium salts, and nitrogenous waste (such as urea)
Part 2: Functions of sebaceous glands
Sebaceous glands secrete sebum which contains substances that spread along the hair and onto the skin where it keeps the follicle free from dust and bacteria.
The oily substance forms a cover on skin that helps prevent water loss.
