Due to the Second World War, Patol Babu had been retrenched from his clerical job in a company in Calcutta. He got an opportunity to act in films through Nishikanto Babu's suggestion. But the role that he got was very small. Patol Babu had become dejected because of this. His mentor was Mr. Pakrashi, who was a wonderful and talented actor. He gave some really valuable advice to Patol Babu: "Remember one thing, Patol; however small a part you're offered, never consider it beneath your dignity to accept it." These words had a significant impact on Patol Babu's mind. They motivated him to enact his role with confidence and determination. From these words he drew spirit, energy, inspiration and dignity to perform such a small role. He stopped considering his role as patronizing and this is how Mr. Pakrashi changed his negative mindset to a positive one.
