Solution

The Indian Press played a vital role in strengthening nationalistic feelings. The spread of ideas through the press, the new kind of literature about the ideals of national sentiments were juxtaposed with racial discrimination inflicted upon the Indians. The words of scholars and writers like Bankim Chandra Chatterjee, Bhartendu Harishchandra, Rabindranath Tagore, Subramania Bharati and others also played an important role in arousing national sentiments. Their patriotic literature like various forms of poetry, fiction and general articles gave an impetus to the masses resulting in people revolting against the British.
