(a) Iron can be separated from aluminium by using a magnet. The magnet will attract iron to it and aluminium will be left behind.
(b) For separation of salt and sand, dissolve them in water. Salt will dissolve, while sand and iron will not. Filter it to separate sand and iron. Boil off the water to get salt. Iron can be separated from sand by using a magnate, to which only iron gets attracted and sand is left behind.
(c) Dissolve the mixture in water. The salt will dissolve and chalk will not. Filtration then removes the insoluble chalk from the salt solution. Boil off the water to get salt.
