Answer the following question based on a hot cathode ray tube. What will happen to the beam when it passes through the electric field?

The beam consists of fast moving electrons which are negative charged particles. So under the influence of electric field, the electron will experience a force towards the positive electrode and thus they will get deflected towards it.
