The younger generation of bangle makers finds themselves ensnared in the traps of middlemen and echo their ancestor's laments of not having much money to lead a better life.

The burden of belonging to the family of bangle makers and the traps set by those with power and money, push these bangle makers towards a life of poverty. Even before the younger generation realizes, they find themselves in dingy cells, working with glass furnaces. Since every generation of bangle makers seems to be stuck in the same vicious circle of poverty and oppression, the bangle makers of Firozabad are pessimistic about their future.
