The author stays for a while in Milam, after he trekking trip to Dudh and Suraj Kund. She restricted to her room for a few days due to bad weather. When the skies had cleared, she was eager to pay to visit to the ruins of Bilju. There facing the ghost villages, tower the twin peaks of Nanda Devi East and Nanda Devi Main. Ahtushi is transfixed and considers the view to resemble the one from Binsar. As she looks deeply into the face of the village, she tries to etch out every detail of the vast expanse in her mind. As the abandoned village gazes up at the mountainous due, the author feels the blessings of Nanda Devi herself.
