(a) Polythene bags:

1. We use polythene bags for many things like packing vegetables, filling garbage etc.
2. But using plastic bags can cause many serious issues.
3. Throwing of plastic bags can cause problems in drainage systems and this leads to the flood-like situation in city areas.
4. Many people throw the garbage after filling it in polythene bags. When stray animals look for food in these bags, they end up swallowing these plastic bags.
5. Packing vegetables in plastic bags enhance the dissolving of plastics in the food and spoils it.
6. To avoid these types of problems we have to use paper bags instead of polythene bags.

(b)

1. Each and every one of a society has equal responsibility in the disposal of waste.
2. It is the duty of parents to teach the young ones about the correct disposal of garbage.

(c) Earthworm:

1. Earthworms are used for vermicomposting.
2. The process of making manure from kitchen waste using earthworms is called vermicomposting.
3. Vermicompost is high-quality manure which is good for potted domestic plants.
