• Major ports on the east coast include Tuticorin, Chennai and Ennore in Tamil Nadu, Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh, Paradip in Orissa and Haldia and Kolkata in West Bengal.
• Port Blair is a major port located in the union territory of Andaman and Nicobar.
