a) Siraj - Ud- Daulah was the Nawab of Bengal in 1757.

b) Lord Wellesley introduced the policy of "Subsidiary Alliance"

c) Lord Dalhousie devised the policy of "Doctrine of Lapse". By this policy, he annexed kingdoms of Satara, Sambhalpur, Udaipur, Nagpur, Jaitpur, Jhansi and Bagpat.

d) Queen Victoria's proclamation was issued in 1858. The administration of India was passed to the British Crown by Queen Victoria's Proclamation.
