Take two hard glass boiling tubes.
In one tube ,take some small pieces of soft wood and some water in other tube.Wood containing tube is kept horizontally and other tube (water containing) is fixed vertically.Start heating wood pieces first gently and then strongly.
Hence inside the boiling tubes small pieces of soft wood is taken.
