Demerits
1. It is a costly mode of transport and the operations costs are increasing day-by-day.
2. Often it suffers losses due to such reasons as non-cooperation of staff, strikes.
3. Indian planes are not at par with the global technology, thereby, loose out on global competition.
4. It is affected by adverse weather conditions.
