Each point: 1 Mark
1. Veins are the vessels which carry blood to the heart.
2. Arteries are the vessels which carry blood away from the heart.
3. Pulmonary vein is the blood vessel that brings oxygenated blood to the human heart.
4. Right chamber of the human heart comprising of right atrium and right ventricle receives deoxygenated blood from all the parts of the body.
5. De-oxygenated blood comes from the body to the upper chamber on the right, the right atrium, as it expands. Then it contracts to transfer the blood to the right ventricle causing it to dilate. The right ventricle, in turn, pumps it to the lungs for oxygenation which is brought back to left atrium by pulmonary vein. It is then pumped to the rest of the body by aorta.
