For example: (i) NaCl though a crystalloid in water behaves like a colloid in benzene. (ii) Soap is a colloid in water while it behaves like a crystalloid in benzene.
Therefore, colloidal state nowadays may be defined as following "A substance is said to be in the colloidal state when it is dispersed in another medium in the form of very small particles".
