Anylase the meaning of right to choose provided under consumer protection act

Dear Student,

a. Consumer movement aimed at protecting and promoting the interest of the consumer and to protect them from black marketing, hoarding etc.
b. This resulted and culminated into COPRA , that is
Consumer Protection Act 1986.
c. By virtue of this act, Right to choose is also guaranteed along with other rights.
d.
Right to choose implies that any consumer who receives a service in whatever capacity, regardless of age, gender and nature of service, has the right to choose whether to continue to receive the service. If that right is denied to that person the person can do the following:

i. The person can go to consumer court file a case against the organization or party concerned.
ii. The person is liable to be compensated in case his/her right to choose is denied.
