Given, AD is a diameter.
So, ABD=90 (Angle in a semi circle)

Now, opposite angles of a cyclic quadrilateral are supplementary.
So,
ABC+ADC=180
(ABD+DBC)+(ADB+BDC)=180
(90+DBC)+(18+38)=180
90+DBC+56=180
DBC+146=180
DBC=34

Now, applying angle sum property In DBC
DBC+BCD+BDC=180
34+BCD+38=180
BCD+72=180
BCD=108

Hence, the measure of BCD is 108
