Apart from the nomenclature of plants in wild, International Code of Botanical Nomenclature also gives binomial names for-
Bacteria & Fungus
International Code of Botanical Nomenclature also gives binomial names for Bacteria & Fungus. A botanical name is a formal scientific name conforming to the International Code of Nomenclature for algae, fungi, bacteria and plants. From the early 19th century onwards it became ever more apparent that a body of rules was necessary to govern scientific names. In the course of time these became nomenclature codes. The International Code of Zoological Nomenclature (ICZN) governs the naming of animals, there is an International Code of Nomenclature for algae, fungi, and plants (ICN) and the International Code of Nomenclature of Bacteria (ICNB) for bacteria (including Archaea).
