Question

Applications of ohms law used in daily life?

Open in App
Solution

Ohm's law:

  1. The current in an electrical circuit is directly proportional to the applied voltage and inversely proportional to the resistance.

Application of ohm's law used in daily life.

  1. Ohm's law is used extensively in circuit analysis to find unknown quantities.
  2. It is used in the design process of any appliance consisting of electric components.
  3. It is used in conventional domestic fans in our homes.

4. We can adjust the regulator's direction to change the speed of the fans in our homes. Here, by adjusting the resistance through the regulator, the current going through the fan is adjusted. To produce a changeable resistance on the output terminals, turn a circular knob on the component. We can use Ohm's Law to compute the resistance, current, and therefore power flowing for any specified value of the input.

5. It is used in electric kettles and irons.

6. There are multiple resistors within the electric kettle and irons. To generate a sufficient quantity of heat, the resistors set a limit on the current that can pass through them. Ohm's law is used to calculate the size of the resistors that are used in them.

7. Ohm's law is also used to design electric devices like mobile phones, laptops, etc.

Hence, the application of ohm's law are motioned above.
