The amphibians generally have two phases in their life: (i) Larval stage, called tadpole, is fish like, lives in water, swims with tail and respires with gills; (ii) Adult stage is terrestrial, moves about with limbs and respires with lungs, buccopharyngeal lining and skin.
In amphibians, Kidneys are opisthonephric. Waste material is removed as urea in tailless forms( ureotelism) and as ammonia in larvae and tailed forms ( ammonotelism). The urinary bladder is present.
