Harmful effects of agrochemicals:

  2. The use of fertilizers results in groundwater contamination with nitrate. Nitrate is a highly toxic compound that causes several side effects in humans as well as other animals.
  3. Pesticides diffuse in the air and increase the risk of respiratory diseases.
  4. Agrochemicals can also damage aquatic ecosystems.
