Elemental analysis is to determine the quantity of a particular element in a given tissue.
Compound analysis is to determine the type of compound present in a given tissue.


Part 2: Elements and compounds of living organisms
On elemental analysis of a living tissue, we can determine that it consists of elements like carbon, hydrogen, oxygen etc.
Whereas on compound analysis of a living tissue, we can determine that it consists of several organic compounds like protein, lipids, amino acids etc.
All living organisms are made up of the same elements and compounds but in different concentrations.
