Open in App
Solution

Protists:

  1. They are simple and mostly unicellular eukaryotic organisms.
  2. They are neither plants nor animals.
  3. They reproduce asexually as well as sexually.
  4. Examples- algae, euglena, amoebas, slime molds, plasmodium, etc.
  5. However, Kelps (brown algae) can grow over 100 meters. Kelps are also known as “giant algae.”
  6. They are exclusively marine and are used in products like toothpaste, dairy products, salad dressings, etc.
  7. Therefore, all protists are not single-celled. Kelps are multicellular algae.
