Are all types of taste buds in the tongue present uniformly all around or one type of taste buds are found in a particular place in the tongue ?

Solution

Dear student,

It has been proved in recent studies that there are no specific centres of taste in the tongue and all the tastes are detected by all the parts of the tongue. Though the receptors for each of the taste are present on different cells, these cells are spread throughout the tongue and not in specific regions.

Regards.
