Solution
Parasite:
An organism that lives on a host which can be of another species.
They can derive nutrients at the expense of the other.
Bryophytes:
Bryophytes are non-vascular plants predominantly found in shady and moist areas.
Sporophytes in bryophytes do not have the freedom to live, thus, only sporophytes are parasitic.
They are parasitic on gametophytes for nutrition and sustenance since they are generated straight from the fertilized egg in archegonia.
