  1. Eyes are sensory organs that are responsible for vision.
  2. The nervous system is a complex network of neurons that detect and transmit signals.
  3. The central nervous system (CNS) comprises the brain and the spinal cord.
  4. Retina, the inner layer of the eye, is the neural portion that is in continuation with the CNS.
  5. It is responsible for converting the light signal into electric impulses.
  6. The optic nerves transmit the electric impulses to the brain. The brain generates an image that enables us to see objects.
