Dear Student,
Fundamental duties of India are mentioned in Part IV-A of the Constitution, which were added with the 42nd amendment in 1976 where 10 duties were introduced that got added with one more with 86th Amendment in 2002.
Basic impression of this was to apprise a normal citizen of one's duties towards the country. They are different from Rights, for they are non-justiciable but have no lesser importance in their virtue of defining the spirit of patriotism. Fundamental duties are important for the country, citizens and society to progress, develop and grow together.
Regards.
