Open in App
Solution

Gymnosperms:

  1. Gymnosperms refer to vascular plants in which ovules are not enclosed inside the ovary wall. Thus the seeds produced are considered naked.
  2. Example: cycads, conifers, etc.
  3. Heterosporous plants produce two kinds of spores- microspores and megaspores.
  4. Gymnosperms are heterosporous. The microspores and megaspores give rise to male and female gametophytes respectively.
  5. The spores produced are of different types and morphologically dissimilar.
