Are introns non-coding?

Solution
Coding sequences
The sequences in the DNA or RNA that are used in protein synthesis are called coding sequences.
They are also called exons which are present in a mature RNA transcript.
These highly conserved sequences are found both in eukaryotes and prokaryotes.
Non-coding sequences
Those sequences present in DNA or RNA that are not used in protein synthesis are called non-coding sequences.
They are also called introns and are usually spliced and removed from a mature RNA transcript.
These sequences are not conserved and are found in eukaryotes only.
Intron sequences are transcribed into RNA but are later removed through splicing.
