Solution

Uricotelic

  1. It is a term used for organisms that excrete waste (nitrogenous) in the form of uric acid.
  2. This prevents excess water loss from the body. Uric acid is water-insoluble and excreted in the form of a pellet.
  3. Therefore, there is negligible or no water loss during excretion.
  4. Examples- birds, reptiles, etc.
  5. Lizards belong to Class Reptilia, therefore, they are Uricotelic.
