Genetically modified organism:

  1. GMO (genetically modified organisms) are those plants which are used in agriculture, their DNA is modified using genetic engineering methods.
  2. It can be engineered by physical method or by agrobacterium to deliver sequences in binary vectors.
  3. Examples: papayas, potatoes, apples, and summer squash.
  4. Orange seedless fruits are not made by using genetically modified methods. They occurred naturally in a single mutated tree. This tree was then propagated by grafting.
