Open in App
Solution

Chlorophyll:

  1. Chlorophyll is the pigment which is responsible for the green colour of the plant.
  2. It is used to convert sunlight energy to chemical energy through photosynthesis.
  3. It absorbs energy from sunlight and later converts carbon dioxide into carbohydrates.
  4. Chlorophyll present in the plant absorbs deep-blue and red light to reflect back the green colour, which causes the plant to look green in colour.
