2. They are produced during normal development as well as during stressful conditions(nutrient deprivation, flooding, etc).
3. Example- Banyan, sugarcane, maize, etc.

Prop roots:

1. Prop roots are adventitious roots that serve as a support to the aerial parts of the plant.
2. Example- roots of a banyan tree, fig, etc.
