Solution
Rhizaria
Protists are any members of a group of diverse eukaryotic, predominantly unicellular, microscopic organisms.
They may share certain morphological and physiological characteristics with animals or plants or both
.
The Rhizaria are an ill-defined but species-rich supergroup of mostly unicellular eukaryotes that belong to protists.
They have needle-like pseudopodia and are found in both marine and freshwater habitats.
They play an important role in the nitrogen and carbon cycle.
They are non-photosynthetic organisms. Few of them have a symbiotic relationship with unicellular algae.
Examples- Forams, Radiolaria, Homotrema, etc are few examples of Rhizaria.
