Spermatogonia:

  1. These are proliferative diploid cells that give rise to haploid sperm cells in the testis.
  2. The wall of the seminiferous tubule gives rise to spermatogonia.
  3. They undergo mitotic division to give rise to primary spermatocytes which then undergo meiotic division to give rise to spermatozoa.
  4. This process is called spermatogenesis.
  5. Spermatogonia are the undifferentiated male germ cells.
