Dear student,

Spores are agents of asexual reproduction. Spores are reproductive structures formed in some plants which are capable of giving rise to a new plant when they fall on favourable substratum or surface. Female spores called megaspores grow into female gametophytes while, male spores called microspores grow into male gametophytes.
