Question

Are the cell in an elephant larger than the cell in rat
?(Explain it)

Open in App
Solution

Dear student,
Cells in an elephant are of almost same size as the cells in rat because size of an organism does not affect the size of cell. One type of cell can differ in size from other type of cell. Increase in size of an organism is due to increase in number of cell not the size of cell.
