Question

are vacuoles similar to immunal bodies such as in prokaryotic cell?

Open in App
Solution

Dear student,

Vacuoles are cell organelles present in plant and fungi cells mainly. They are also found in some bacteria and animal cells. Their main function is to store water or nutrients and sometimes waste products inside the cell, to keep them separated.
But a prokaryotic cell does not possess any structure like that. They have food stores in the form of lipid globules or glycogen granules, etc.

Regards.
