  1. Plants whose embryos contain a single embryo.
  2. They have a fibrous root system.
  3. Example- Grass, wheat, corn, etc.

Vascular bundles:

  1. The xylem and phloem are the complex tissues that constitute the vascular bundles.
  2. In dicotyledonous stems- cambium is present between xylem and phloem.
  3. In monocotyledons- lack of cambium between xylem and phloem.
  4. Therefore, vascular bundles are closed in monocotyledons.
