Microbes:

  1. Living organisms with a single cell are also known as microorganisms.
  2. They are called "micro" due to the fact that they are invisible to naked eyes and are visible only under a microscope.
  3. Eukarya, Bacteria, and Archaea are referred to as the three domains of life and consist of different microbes.
  4. Microbes can be beneficial or detrimental.

Viruses:

  1. They are infectious agents that are neither non-living nor living.
  2. Example- Adenovirus, Monkeypox virus, HIV, etc.
  3. They do not form a part of any of the domains of life and are not considered living.
  4. Their survival depends on the machinery of the host cell.
  5. They possess a capsid, which is a protein coat on viruses.
