Solution
Blood clotting:
It is a process of forming a clot (also known as a thrombus) for preventing excess loss of blood from the body.
A clot is defined as a gel-like mass usually formed by the platelets and fibrin in the blood.
Vitamins are essential organic compounds that are responsible for blood clotting (especially Vitamin K).
Vitamin K participates in synthesizing blood coagulation factors.
In addition to vitamins & platelets, various proteins, and blood clotting factors are needed for blood clotting.
