Area of a rectangle and the area of a circle are equal. If the dimensions of the rectangle are $14cm\times 11cm,$ then the radius of the circle is

Given, dimensions of rectangle, l = 14 cm and b = 11 cm
According to the question,
Area of rectangle = Area of circle
$\Rightarrow l\times b=\pi r^2$
$\Rightarrow 14\times 11=\frac{22}{7}\times r^2\Rightarrow r^2=\frac{14\times 11\times 7}{22}$ $[\because \pi =\frac{22}{7}]$
$\Rightarrow r^2=49\Rightarrow r=\sqrt{49}$
$\Rightarrow r=7cm$
Hence, the radius of circle is 7 cm.
