Height = 4 cm
Area of trapezium = 16 $c{m}^2$

Let length of unknown side be x cm
Area of trapezium
= $\frac{1}{2}$$\times$(Sum of parallel sides)$\times$height
16 = $\frac{1}{2}$$\times$(Sum of parallel sides)$\times$height
16 = $\frac{1}{2}$$\times$(x+5)$\times$4
$\frac{16\times 2}{4}$ = x+5
$\frac{32}{4}$ = 8 = x+5
x = 8-5 = 3 cm
