They don't stop moving because there is nothing to stop them. In our everyday lives, we're used to things stopping after a while if you stop pushing them along. That's because there is always some kind of resistance (air resistance, friction, etc) that stops them. In space, there is no resistance. In space, things keep moving forever (or until they crash into something).

Physics says that a body after travelling a short distance stops because of frictional force but according to some a body starts moving because of applied force to it and stops because the applied energy exhausts after travelling a certain distance.so which is true and explain why.
