Question

arrange in decreasing order by mass
(1) 1023 molecules of CO2 gass
(2) 0.1g atom of Ag
(3) 1g of C
(4) 0.1 mole of H2SO4
(5) 1023 atoms of Ca

Open in App
Solution

Mass of 6.022×1023 molecules of CO2 gas = 18 g
Mass of 1023 molecules = 186.022=2.989 g

Mass of 1 g atom of Ag = 108 g
Mass of 0.1 g atom = 108×0.1=10.8 g

Mass of 1 mole of H2SO4 = 98 g
Mass of 0.1 mole = 9.8 g

Mass of 6.022×1023 molecules of Ca = 40 g
Mass of 1023 molecules = 406.022=6.642 g

Decreasing order of mass :

0.1 g atom of Ag > 0.1 mole of H2SO4 > 1023 molecules of Ca > 1023 molecules of CO2 gas > 1 g of C
2 > 4 > 5 > 1 > 3
