Arrange solid, liquid and gas on the basis of rate of diffusion in ascending order.
Solid<liquid<gas
The correct order of the rate of diffusion is solid < liquid < gas. In the gaseous state, molecules move freely and have large spaces between each other as compared to intermolecular spaces in the solid and liquid states. So, they can intermingle or diffuse easily. Similarly, liquids can diffuse easier as compared to solids.
