Open in App
Solution

Step 1: First make the number of digits after the decimal point equal by putting zeroes to the extreme right side of the decimal part, if required. The like decimals are 3.300,0.030,0.300,0.003,3.330,33.300.

Step 2: Compare the whole number parts. The decimal with greater whole number is greater. Here, the whole numbers are 3,0,0,0,3,33. In descending order they are 33,3,3,0,0,0. So, the decimal with 33 as whole number is the largest.

Step 3: If the whole number parts are equal, compare the tenths digits. The decimal with the bigger digit in the tenths place is greater. Comparing tenths digits.

Step 4: If the tenths digits are equal, compare the hundredths digits, and so on. Comparing hundredths digits.

Hence, the given decimals in descending order are 33.3>3.33>3.3>0,3>0.03>0.003..
