Solution

To estimate a decimal to its tenths place, we consider the digit in its hundredths place.

If the digit in the hundredths place is 5 or more than 5, then we round the decimal up.

If the digit is less than 5, then we round it down.

So,
2.252 becomes 2.3
2.229 becomes 2.2
2.451 becomes 2.5
and
2.449 becomes 2.4

Now,
2.2<2.3<2.4<2.5

So, arranging the decimals in the ascending order of their nearest tenths, we get,

2.229<2.252<2.449<2.451
