In 1665, cell was discovered by Robert Hooke using primitive microscope. In 1674, Leeuwenhoek improvised and created simple microscope. In 1831, Robert Brown found the nucleus in a cell. In 1839, Purkinje coined the term protoplasm. In 1838 and 1839, Schleiden and Schwann explained the cell theory.
