Solution

The correct option is A (iv), (ii), (i), (ii)
The Indian Forest Service was set up by Dietrich Brandis in 1864. He also helped formulate the forest laws. The Darjeeling Himalayan Railway was established in 1881 in Bengal Presidency to facilitate the export of tea and other important commodities. It was declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999. The First World War, also known as the Great War took place between 1914-1918. During this time, the British were heavily dependent on Indian forests. The National Forest Policy was formulated in 1952. It laid emphasis on the use of forests for national use instead of just personal use.
