Solution

The correct option is A (ii), (i), (iii), (iv)
Prophase I of the meiosis I consists of four stages
Leptotene -
Zygotene - Homologous chromosomes pair up during synapsis.
Pachytene - Crossing over occurs where non-sister chromatids of homologous chromosomes exchange genetic material.
Diplotene - This is where terminalisation of chiasmata takes place.
Diakinesis - This is where the nucleolus starts to disappear.

Therefore the order of the events of the meiosis is
1. synapsis
2. crossing over
3. terminalisation of chiasmata
4. dissappearance of nucleous.
